Recreational opportunities are plentiful with twelve (12)
private parks including: Arbor Park, Cargill Park, Devaun
Pointe, Denver Park, Dever Park, Fountain Park, Gates Park,
Horseshoe lake, Meeting Hall Park, Tara Park, Village Green,
Village Square Lake and Whisper Park
Devaun Lake, which is located on the south end of Devaun
Park Boulevard, is one of the larger, passive recreational
areas that will accommodate light boating activities and fishing.
Devaun Lake is also appropriately located on the centerline
access of the Devaun Park Boulevard axis from Ocean Harbour
Boulevard. This design feature is repeatedly utilized by terminating
the view of a street with a celebrated park space or architectural
statement. This neighborhood design technique provides meaningfiul
events within the view corridors of streets and neighborhoods
within the whole Devaun Park community, that reflect identity
within the neighborhood and a sense of place and uniqueness
for each street.
The Devaun Park streetscape and park program ensure enhancement
and access to the site's unique natural edges and man made
existing features which provides a balanced pattern to the
fabric of the community. The open space program of Devaun
Park provides for 43.68% of the 149.11 gross acreage or 65.46
acres of open space. Active, accessible open space developed
as The Parks, amenities and landscaped street/sidewalk/park
corridors are located on 37.48 acres or 25% of the property's
149.11 acres that accommodate over nine (9) miles of sidewalks.
The existing visual open space of the 5 golf fairways, leased
in perpetuity to Ocean Harbour Golf Links limited to the existing
golf use only, are located on 27.98 acres or 18.76% of the
property's 149.11 acres.
Overnight parking and camping are not permitted in the neighborhood
parks and common areas. When extreme dry weather condition
exist, usually during the winter months, cooking grills can
not be used to prevent fire hazards. Please be cautious with
the disposal of any smoking materials.
