Sidewalk
and Roadway Network

Devaun Park is unique, in that it has sidewalks, paths and
service lanes throughout the neighborhood. These paths provide
safe access throughout the neighborhood for residents and
guests. We request that you utilize these paths when they
are available, and remain off of the roadways.

The streetscapes of Devaun Park provide narrow, tree lined
sidewalk/road corridors with parallel parking designed to
deliberately reduce the speed of vehicles to provide safe
travel ways for pedestrians with clearly identified intersection
crossings. Streets radiate from the Village Square center
in a geometric grid pattern that accent the natural features
of the land. The street design along the Calabash River is
arranged in a radial pattern to provide the view of the Calabash
River at the end of every street corridor providing visual
and physical access of the property's edge from the interior
of the Devaun Park landscape and streetscape.
The streets of Devaun Park are properly defined within a
primary and secondary level with Devaun Park Boulevard as
the primary link positioned as the "spine" of the
sidewalk street network and is the common integral linear
park link for the open space/park program.
The majority of the Devaun Park homesites are provided with
services lanes to control the vehicular access to all dwellings
to the rear of each type home which creates the ability to
realize a unified streetscape in a park setting that is pedestrian
oriented. The majority of utility services will be located
within the service lane as will mail delivery and refuse collection.
Two spaces for each unit will be provided off the alley as
will a maximum allowance for two additional parallel parking
spaces per unit for guests on the street. The Village Square
program accommodates parking and refuse collection in the
rear service courtyard of the buildings as well as sufficient
parking within 350' for the desired use program for the Village
Square.
Overnight parking and camping are not permitted in the neighborhood
parks and common areas. When extreme dry weather condition
exist, usually during the winter months, cooking grills can
not be used to prevent fire hazards. Please be cautious with
the disposal of any smoking materials.
